It has the power to transform your sleep health and well-being, as well as looking and feeling incredible. Choosing the right bed linen can be complicated, so why not explore our Buying Guide to help make your decision easier?

What do I need to consider when buying bed linen?

There are many things to consider when choosing your bed linen. You may need to think about where and how it is made, colour and style, the type and quality of the fabric, thread count and weave, ease of washing and ironing, but ultimately what feels best for you.

Simplicity of white bed linen

Whether your style is classic or contemporary, there is one thing you can be sure of. White bed linen lends itself to almost any bedroom style. That’s why we bring to you the perfect collection of white bed linen where comfort, versatility and functionality come together.

How do you like your bed linen to feel?

Quality materials are truly important for your bed linen and the way the fabric is woven contributes to how it feels. Some prefer their cotton bedding to be cool and crisp to the touch, others a soft silky smooth finish. Alternatively, you may love the causal laid-back unique feel of 100% linen. Whichever you choose, you can be sure that we only offer the finest cotton and linen. All beautifully breathable and incredibly comfortable to sleep in.

Our Classic Cotton

If you like your bed linen to feel smooth, cool, crisp and breathable with a simple matte finish, you will love our Classic Cotton percale which will bring the five-star luxury hotel experience into your home.

Percale is a plain-weave fabric where the fibres have been very tightly woven together (one over and one under). They can be woven from various fibres, but we only use cotton. The fabric needs to be at least 180 thread count (threads per square inch) or higher to be classed as percale. We have chosen the superior quality of 300 thread count to make your bed linen extra special.

Our Luxe Cotton

If you prefer a smoother, softer and slightly silkier feel, then our Luxe Cotton sateen bed linen is right for you. Boasting a silk-like touch and a subtle sheen that feels super soft and luxurious against your skin as well as being incredibly breathable. Drapes beautifully, just like satin on your bed.

Sateen is made using a unique weave structure (three yarns are floated over and one under), giving you the quality and durability of world-class cotton. Average quality sateen normally ranges from 250 to 300 thread count. We have chosen a 400 thread count to make your bed linen even more luxurious.

Our Ultimate Linen

If you like your bedding to feel incredibly soft, airy and cool to the touch, with a casual laid-back look, our Ultimate Linen is perfect for you. It has a slightly crumpled look, subtle distinctive texture and small slubs, all of which add to its natural charm and beauty. Each piece is garment dyed and then washed to relax the fibres. It’s light and breathable in summer, but keeps you cosy and warm in winter. The more it's used, the softer and stronger it becomes.

Linen is measured in a slightly different way to cotton, by weight and generally referred to in grams per square metre, or ‘gsm’. Our Ultimate Linen is woven from superior 100% natural European linen flax and is 165 gsm, not too heavy and not too lightweight.

What is thread count?

Thread count means the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. It’s one of the factors that goes into comparing the different qualities of bed linen. The finer the thread and the longer the fibres, the better the quality. We only use the finest long staple yarns.

Is a higher thread count better?

It is generally accepted that the higher the thread count, the better the quality of the bed linen. However, that's assuming the quality of the yarn used, the craftsmanship and the weave are all the same. Higher thread count should give a more durable luxurious fabric. Some manufacturers and retailers use lower quality and thinner yarns to achieve a higher thread count. This is detrimental to the quality, resulting in heavy bed linen that isn't as breathable and feels stiff and uncomfortable.

How do your duvet covers fasten?

All our duvet covers fasten with 100% natural hemp buttons at the foot of the bed. Hemp is one of the most environmentally friendly fibres and is incredibly strong and durable.

How do I care for my bed linen?

Regular care can extend the lifespan, appearance and quality of your bed linen. We recommend washing your bed linen inside out with similar items, same fabric and same colour. Machine washable at 40°C or less, using a small amount of mild liquid detergent. Never use bleach or fabric softeners and avoid using detergent pods and powders.

Dry naturally outside or tumble dry on a low heat. 100% cotton is best ironed on a medium to hot setting. 100% linen is best unironed for a relaxed laid-back look, or iron on a low setting.
